Fear of RISK is a block to success

Imagine you are driving a car on a straight road (and that too in a route that is well known to you) at 60 Km per hour on a no moon night. Suddenly, the headlights of the car goes off. Your legs automatically move from the accelerator to the brakes. In spite of yourself knowing the route, you think that you will not be able to cruise at the same speed. Also, fear, risk of accident etc., comes to your mind which probably shifts the leg from accelerator to brake. We think that we will not be able to drive at the same speed and tend to reduce the speed to probably 20 km per hour so that you will be safe.

We don't want to take risk. We are afraid of taking risk which prevents us from reaching newer heights and achieving things. Probably we will have to switch on the hazard lamp (if it glows!) so that it would be an indication for the other vehicles and reduce the speed from 60 Km per hour to 40 Km per hour and drive ahead (also use horn when required!).

Risk in life is essential and inevitable and one has to take calculated risk to succeed in life.

Know Your Value

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note.
In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?".

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?". Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?". And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?". Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

You are special. Don't ever forget it! Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

"VALUE HAS A VALUE ONLY IF ITS VALUE IS VALUED"

"Make some corner of the world distinctively yours"
